Omar Lakbiri

My name is Omar Lakbiri. I am currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity and Networking at
Roger Williams University, with minors in Computer Science and Digital Forensics. My areas of
expertise include Java programming, web design, and computer networking, and I am eager to
expand into advanced cybersecurity disciplines with a focus on digital forensics, penetration
testing, and network defense. I place strong emphasis on creative problem-solving, approaching
cybersecurity not only as a technical challenge but also as an opportunity to develop innovative
and adaptable solutions. Raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts, I graduated from Greater New
Bedford Vocation High School with a concentration in Programming and Web Development,
earning recognition through Business Professionals of America by placing 5th in the state and
21st nationally in Web Design. Outside of academics, I enjoy spending time in nature, playing
bass guitar, staying active through soccer, and connecting with family and friends through video
games and shared activities.
